The Trilobyte™ Gen4 is a rugged, feature-rich mid-range helmet light designed for users who require reliable visual and near-infrared signaling in demanding environments. Compact, user-friendly, and powered by a single AA battery, it delivers dependable performance in extreme operational conditions.
The Trilobyte™ Gen4 offers a customizable output configuration with four colors: White, Green, Red, and IR. Built for durability and ease of use, it features a highly robust, impact-resistant polycarbonate housing and a control layout designed for intuitive operation, even in low-light or no-light conditions.
One of its standout features is MultiVibe™ positive tactile feedback, which provides vibration-based switch position indication. This allows the user to confirm functions by touch when operating in darkness, under night vision conditions, or while the light is mounted on a helmet. When activated, the first output color is always IR, helping reduce the risk of detection by visible light.
The Trilobyte™ Gen4 can be mounted directly to compatible Velcro surfaces using the 3M Dual Lock system installed on the base of the unit. It can also be paired with the separately available modular VIP Pouch or Base Attachment plate for additional mounting flexibility.

Control Layout
- Left Button: NIR brightness (Low, Medium, High), visible color selection (White, Green, Red)
- Right Button: Main functions, continuous light, flash (48 BPM), Off
- Left Button with polarity change: Record and playback
- Right Button with polarity change: Constant light and IR detection mode
IR Detection Mode
In IR detection mode, the helmet light vibrates 5 times and flashes white for 5 seconds when activated by a near-infrared wavelength.

Advanced Features
AutoSync™
Master / slave group syncing allows recorded flashing signatures to be transmitted to other compatible beacons, creating distinct groups with synchronized signatures.
Mockingbird® Technology
Enables users to record and playback their own unique flashing signatures using an external light source containing a near-IR wavelength, including sunlight.
MultiVibe™
Raised position indicators and vibration feedback make function selection easier, even while wearing gloves. The unit vibrates once for position 1, twice for position 2, and so on.
Dual Button Polarity Program Switching
Separates groups of functions that can be switched by holding both side buttons for specified periods, helping organize operation modes efficiently.
