Shipping policy
At Fair D Canada, we believe in a simple philosophy: Why wait when we can ship it now? Our team processes orders as quickly as possible, with shipments prepared every morning in order of priority. Whenever possible, in-stock orders are prepared and handed over to the carrier the same business day. In-stock products are generally processed within 24 to 72 business hours. Processing times may vary during periods of high order volume, holidays, inventory counts, or for orders requiring additional verification. Special-order, pre-order, controlled, regulated, or export-restricted products may require additional processing time.
Shipping options and rates available for your destination will be displayed at checkout whenever possible. Delivery times provided by carriers are estimates and begin once the shipment has been picked up by the carrier. Carrier delays are outside of Fair D Canada’s direct control.
Fair D Canada ships internationally to many countries, including NATO member countries and allied or partner nations, subject to applicable Canadian and international laws, export controls, carrier availability, sanctions, embargoes, and product-specific restrictions. If shipping rates are not available for your country at checkout, please contact us with the products and quantities you would like to purchase, your complete shipping destination, and any applicable delivery requirements. Our team can prepare a custom shipping quotation based on the products, destination, shipment size, and most appropriate transportation method. We can arrange standard parcel shipping as well as freight and cargo transportation for larger commercial, government, or institutional orders. In certain cases, we may recommend shipping arrangements where applicable duties, taxes, and import charges are prepaid in order to facilitate customs clearance and provide a smoother delivery experience. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, international customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, brokerage fees, import permits, or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Certain products cannot be exported to every destination. Products may be subject to Canadian export controls, U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations, sanctions, international embargoes, manufacturer-imposed export restrictions, destination-country import restrictions, or government authorization and permit requirements. Fair D Canada reserves the right to review, hold, modify, or cancel an international order if the product or destination is subject to legal, regulatory, carrier, or export restrictions. We do not ship to destinations where shipping is prohibited by applicable sanctions or embargoes, or where lawful and reliable transportation cannot reasonably be arranged.
Shipping Protection, Loss, Theft & Damage
For eligible online orders, optional shipping protection/insurance may be offered at checkout. Customers are strongly encouraged to select this protection, particularly for high-value shipments.
When shipping protection is purchased, the shipment may be covered against qualifying loss, theft, or transit damage, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, documentation requirements, and claim approval procedures of the applicable insurance provider and/or carrier. Coverage is not an automatic refund upon reporting a problem. A claim may require supporting evidence, including but not limited to tracking information, photographs, proof of damage, carrier investigation results, delivery records, confirmation that a signature was not obtained where applicable, police reports for theft where requested, declarations from the recipient, or other documentation required to establish the loss.
A shipment will generally be considered lost only once the applicable carrier or insurance provider has completed the required investigation and has confirmed that the parcel cannot be located or is otherwise deemed lost under its applicable procedures. Once an insured claim has been approved, the resolution may include replacement merchandise, a store credit, or another settlement permitted under the applicable coverage, depending on the circumstances and availability of the merchandise.
If the customer declines optional shipping protection/insurance, the shipment travels at the customer’s risk once it has been transferred to the carrier, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. The customer accepts the risks associated with carrier loss, theft, porch theft, misdelivery, or transit damage not otherwise covered by the carrier’s standard liability. Fair D Canada will assist the customer, where reasonably possible, with obtaining tracking information or initiating a carrier inquiry; however, Fair D Canada does not guarantee reimbursement, replacement, or credit for uninsured shipments where the carrier does not provide compensation. Any carrier liability or standard included coverage will be subject exclusively to that carrier’s own terms, limits, investigation procedures, and claim approval.
Purchasing shipping protection means Fair D Canada will manage an eligible claim through the applicable carrier or insurance process and, once the claim is approved, arrange the applicable resolution for the customer. Declining shipping protection means the customer accepts the carrier-related transit risk to the extent permitted by law.
None of the above limits Fair D Canada’s responsibility for an order-fulfillment error made by Fair D Canada, such as shipping the wrong product, size, colour, or quantity, nor does it limit any non-waivable rights available to the customer under applicable law.
Final Sale Items
The following purchases are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange, except where required by applicable law or in the case of an incorrect or defective product: all armor and ballistic products, special-order products, custom-order products, and pre-order products. Customers should verify specifications, sizing, compatibility, colour, and other requirements before placing an order for a Final Sale item.
For other eligible products, return or exchange requests must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the order. All returns and exchanges require prior approval from Fair D Canada. Returned products are subject to inspection and must be returned in their original condition, unused, undamaged, and with their original packaging, labels, accessories, and documentation where applicable. Approval of a return request does not automatically guarantee a refund or exchange; final acceptance remains subject to inspection of the returned merchandise.
For approved standard returns or exchanges, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. If Fair D Canada made an error in fulfilling the order—for example, if the customer received the wrong product, size, colour, or other incorrect item—Fair D Canada will be responsible for the applicable return shipping costs.
If a shipment arrives with an incorrect product or appears to have been damaged during transportation, customers should contact Fair D Canada as soon as possible with their order number, a description of the issue, photographs where applicable, and any other documentation requested to support the claim.
For international orders, freight shipments, government orders, large-volume purchases, or destinations where shipping is not available directly through our online checkout, please contact Fair D Canada for a customized shipping solution. We regularly work with parcel carriers, freight forwarders, and cargo transportation providers to determine an appropriate shipping method for each order.
Fair D Canada reserves the right to review international shipments for regulatory, export-control, and logistical compliance before dispatch. Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
