After each use:
- Air it out: shake out and hang to air-dry after use to remove moisture and odors.
- Spot clean if needed: use a damp cloth on dirty areas (avoid harsh detergents).
Storage:
- Avoid long-term compression: store in the breathable mesh storage bag, not the compression sack.
- Dry completely: ensure it’s 100% dry before storage to prevent mildew.
- Cool & dry location: keep away from moisture, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Washing:
- Frequency: wash only when necessary (every few seasons or when visibly dirty).
- Use proper detergent: a down-specific wash (ex: Nikwax Down Wash) helps preserve loft.
- Machine wash: gentle/delicate cycle with cold water.
- Drying: tumble dry low heat with dryer balls to restore loft. Expect several hours.
