A composite plate built with a silicone carbide (SiC) ceramic strike face and a high-grade UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) backing. The ceramic disperses the initial impact across the strike surface, while the PE backing absorbs remaining energy and helps capture the projectile.
