High capacity for large operations
The 8D configuration uses an 8 kW-class heater core to support larger tents, command centres and logistics hubs where 4 kW systems are undersized — extending the CanHeat platform into sustained base-level operations rather than small team shelters.
Dual output heating
The 8D's dual outlet design lets one heater serve two tents or zones, or split airflow between a main shelter and spaces like vestibules or storage areas. Ducting allows heat distribution to be tuned without adding another heater core.
Extended range controller
A 10 ft control lead lets crew manage output from inside while the heater remains outside, maintaining separation from personnel and sensitive equipment while simplifying checks during long rotations in extreme cold.
External fuel supply
Compatible with external bulk fuel tanks, the 8D enables extended, low-intervention 24/7 operation for command, medical or support use — leveraging diesel or aviation-grade fuel logistics to heat large shelters over long deployments.
