A lightweight 42-litre rolltop backpack designed for mountain hiking, climbing, camping and extended outdoor routes. The Summit combines Cordura® construction, adjustable load capacity, secondary front access, an elastic beavertail and a ventilated carrying system in a streamlined 1.18 kg platform.
The Summit removes unnecessary bulk while retaining the capacity, equipment access and load support required for demanding outdoor routes.
A 42-litre interior provides multi-day equipment capacity while the pack weighs only approximately 1.18 kg when empty.
The rolltop allows the pack height and volume to be adapted to the amount of clothing, food and equipment being carried.
Access equipment through the upper rolltop or use the vertical front zipper to reach lower items without unloading the complete pack.
The elastic front panel carries a helmet, harness, wet rain shell, insulated jacket or other equipment requiring rapid access.
The Summit is part of the Helikon-Tex Outback line and was developed primarily for trekking, climbing and outdoor use rather than as a conventional tactical assault pack.
Its tall, narrow profile keeps the load close to the body and reduces unnecessary lateral bulk when moving along mountain trails, through forests or across confined terrain.
Cordura® fabric protects the contents against abrasion and repeated ground contact. A DWR treatment helps limit water and dirt absorption while simplifying routine cleaning.
The combination of rolltop loading and front zipper access reduces the need to unpack the complete backpack when retrieving equipment.
Provides broad access from above while allowing the pack volume to be compressed or expanded around the current load.
A secondary zipper beneath the beavertail provides direct access to equipment positioned lower inside the main compartment.
A pocket positioned beneath the rolltop keeps smaller frequently used items separated from the main equipment load.
Accommodate compatible water bottles, a thermos, compact clothing or other equipment that must remain accessible while moving.
Zippered mesh pockets provide immediate access to snacks, a phone, navigation tools or other essential small items.
Carries bulky or wet equipment externally without occupying the protected main compartment.
Adjustable quick-release shoulder straps allow the pack to be fitted around the wearer’s body and the clothing layers used during the activity.
Corrugated foam on the back panel creates channels for airflow. The spacer-mesh covering improves ventilation and reduces direct contact between the backpack and the wearer’s back.
An adjustable sternum strap stabilizes the shoulder harness, while the detachable profiled hip belt transfers part of the load toward the hips when carrying heavier equipment.
The Summit combines lightweight outdoor construction with selected modular features for carrying equipment that does not fit inside the main compartment.
Carries clothing, shelter components, food, water and supporting equipment for extended hiking routes.
The narrow profile and external beavertail support movement with a helmet, harness, insulating layers and technical equipment.
Provides substantial capacity for compact tents, sleeping systems, clothing, cooking equipment and food.
Suitable for personal equipment, hydration, medical supplies, clothing and technical accessories used during field searches.
The capacity, hydration compatibility and modular attachment system support professional patrol and remote field assignments.
Rolltop adjustment and multiple access points organize equipment for active travel and mobile outdoor assignments.
Recommended when low empty weight, outdoor comfort, adjustable capacity and long-distance movement are the main priorities.
A conventional tactical backpack may be preferable when extensive internal compartments, full exterior MOLLE coverage or rapid clamshell access are more important than low weight.

Hydration bladders, bottles, helmets, pouches, clothing and other equipment shown or referenced are not included unless specifically identified in the selected configuration. The DWR treatment helps reduce moisture absorption but does not make the backpack fully waterproof. Use an internal waterproof liner or pack cover when prolonged exposure to heavy rain is expected.
Fair D Canada supports professional customers, search-and-rescue organizations, government users and outdoor operators requiring individual Summit backpacks, team quantities or complete Helikon-Tex equipment programs.
