Mjodhall 16
NORTENT Mjodhall 16 is an extremely large 4-season expedition tent designed for the most inhospitable conditions. A spacious “home” for 16 people with 4 entrances, built on a freestanding skeleton of 8 aluminum poles. The poles run over the tent to form a remarkably strong structure that withstands severe weather and heavy snow-load.
Built for real teams and long stays, Mjodhall 16 is designed to pack in modules so the load can be distributed among multiple people. Its pole system sits on the outside of the tent, meaning the outer tent can be pitched first (even without inner tents), keeping inner sleeping areas protected from rain and wind during setup.

Nordic Hall Inspiration
Inspired by an ancient Nordic hall used by Viking kings, Mjodhall 16 is a “safe place” concept brought into modern expedition design: a spacious and protective shelter intended as the center of a team’s basecamp.
- Large internal volume for team living, gear staging, and long-duration camps.
- 4 entrances for flexible access and improved workflow.
- Cabin-like protection for winter and summer conditions.
Free-Standing 8-Pole Skeleton
Eight poles run over the tent to form a stable external frame, designed to handle severe weather and heavy snow-load.
- 8 aluminum poles form a strong, steady structure.
- Storm flaps allow loading snow/sand/stones to increase anchoring.
- 18 guylines available when conditions require maximum stability.
Modular Carry + Fast Setup
Mjodhall 16 is designed to be distributed in modules among several people, keeping large-capacity shelter practical for real field teams.
- Pack-in-modules to spread weight across the group.
- Solo-friendly pitch: quick setup even in bad weather.
- Outer tent first design keeps inner tent protected during installation.
Ventilation + Moisture Management
A sealed tent must still breathe. Airflow is essential to reduce condensation and support safe stove operation.
- 6 air valves: 2 top exhaust vents + 4 lower intake vents.
- Oxygen flow support when using a stove in cold weather.
- Mosquito netting in entrances for warm-weather usability.
Designed Around Stove Comfort
Mjodhall 16 is designed with stove operations in mind—enhancing comfort, drying capability, and morale during harsh weather.
Warm, Livable Basecamp
- 20–30°C indoor comfort potential while storms rage outside.
- Ideal for winter deployments, long-duration basecamps, and remote operations.
- Supports drying clothing, warming crews, and maintaining operational readiness.
Inner Tent Configuration (Optional)
- More controllable indoor climate with warmer sleeping zones.
- Compatible with stove use when configured correctly.
- Two separate inner tents provide flexible living/work space.
- YKK zippers + mosquito net + dense fabric closures.
- Ceiling hatches adjustable to reduce condensation as needed.
Floor Option (Flexible & Stove-Compatible)
You choose the configuration you need: no floor, inner only, full solution. The floor creates a fully enclosed shelter against insects and ground moisture.
Floor Highlights
- Fabric: Nylon PU • 5000 mm
- Weight: 1.5 kg
- Designed to unzip sections for wet boots/clothes and stove operation

Recommended Target Customers
Mjodhall 16 is a strategic shelter platform for teams that operate far from infrastructure and need a stable basecamp “hub” for weather extremes.
