Wolfhound Jacket – a lightweight, packable outdoor jacket with Climashield® Apex™ insulation 

The Wolfhound is a versatile choice for those who spend time outdoors and want reliable thermal comfort. Lighter than a traditional down jacket, it provides excellent protection against cold, wind, and light rain. Thanks to its synthetic insulation and compact design, it works perfectly as a standalone layer or as a mid-layer under a hardshell. 

Now the Wolfhound Hoodie also works as a camouflage jacket across different environments. We’ve created three reversible versions, combining a total of six camouflage patterns: 

• PenCott Wildwood + PenCott Snowdrift 
• Mitchell Camo Leaf + Mitchell Camo Clouds 
• Desert Night Camo + US Desert 

The reversible Wolfhound Hoodie is not just about functional camouflage – it’s also a real treat for camo enthusiasts. 

Can the Wolfhound be worn as a layer under a hardshell? 
Yes – the Wolfhound was designed as an insulating layer. Its slim cut and lightweight Climashield® Apex™ insulation make it an ideal companion for outer shells like the Squall hardshell.

Reversible Wolfhound Hoodie Jacket

Lightweight construction and resilient synthetic fill make the Wolfhound ideal for unpredictable weather. The Climashield® Apex™ insulation (67 g/m²) delivers effective thermal protection – even when wet. The outer layer made of Windpack® Nylon is treated with Teflon for added resistance to moisture and dirt. An adjustable hem and cuffs with VersaStretch® panels provide additional wind protection and improved fit. 

Why synthetic insulation instead of down?
Climashield® Apex™ maintains its insulating properties even when wet, dries faster, and handles moisture better than natural down – making it a more dependable option in dynamic weather conditions.

Functionality for everyday use and the field 

The Wolfhound features 4 practical pockets with durable YKK zippers: 

• two hand pockets,
• one chest pocket,
• one internal pocket for documents. 

Underarm VersaStretch® panels enhance mobility during both movement and dynamic tasks. A soft fleece lining inside the collar prevents chafing around the neck. The hook & loop panel on the sleeve allows you to attach an ID, flag, or morale patch.
