A lightweight, low-profile 40 mm respirator filter developed specifically for professional protection against riot-control agents. The P-CAN® Compact combines a hydrophobic P3 particulate stage, activated-carbon filtration and a shock-resistant housing in a compact 205-gram configuration.
The P-CAN Compact was created for professional users who need riot-control-agent filtration without the size and weight of a full-capacity multigas CBRN canister.

Full-size CBRN filters provide broad protection but add weight and external bulk. The P-CAN Compact is a specialized alternative for known law-enforcement environments where the identified respiratory concern is primarily riot-control agents and airborne particulates.
Its reduced diameter helps keep the canister closer to the face, improving mobility around helmets, visors, shields and other equipment. The hard-plastic housing is designed to resist impact and demanding operational handling.
The filter should only be selected when the contaminant and required filter classification have been identified through the user organization’s approved respiratory-protection program.
The P-CAN Compact is a specialized riot-control filter and should not be represented as a universal CBRN or multigas canister.
Designed for known irritant-agent environments involving CS, CR, CN and OC compounds according to the manufacturer’s classification and approved-use conditions.
A1 classification provides limited-capacity protection against qualifying organic gases and vapours with boiling points above 65°C.
The P3 stage provides high-efficiency particulate filtration for compatible solid and liquid aerosols.
Hydrophobic treatment on the particulate-filter stage helps maintain performance during outdoor weather exposure.

The P-CAN Compact weighs approximately 205 g, compared with 290 g for the larger standard P-CAN. Its diameter is reduced from approximately 110 mm to 90 mm.
This provides meaningful weight and size savings for officers carrying respiratory protection for extended periods or integrating it with helmets, visors and communications equipment.
The trade-off is lower filtration-media capacity than the larger P-CAN. The compact model should therefore be selected according to the agency’s identified hazard, duration requirements and approved respiratory-protection plan.

The filter uses a standard 40 mm round respirator connection. The exact respirator thread and manufacturer compatibility must be confirmed before deployment.
Due to its shorter thread design, the P-CAN Compact is not compatible with the MIRA Safety MB-90® PAPR unit.

The P-CAN Compact is a specialized filter for identified riot-control-agent and particulate hazards. It must not be used as a general-purpose solution for unknown atmospheres or contaminants outside its certified classification.
It does not supply oxygen and must never be relied upon in oxygen-deficient environments. It does not provide protection against carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, mercury vapours, radioactive iodine or every toxic industrial chemical.
Filter service life is not determined by shelf life. Actual operational service depends on contaminant type and concentration, humidity, temperature, breathing rate and other conditions. Replacement and disposal must follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the organization’s respiratory-protection program.
Respiratory filtration does not protect exposed eyes or skin. The complete facepiece, protective clothing and PPE configuration must be selected for the identified hazard by qualified personnel.
